Mr Alan Chapman, what can I say about Alan, player of the year 2009, Alan at the splendid age of 70 shot a superb 66 in the final PY comp of the year, to pip young upcoming buck Russ Hill by a shot to be crowned champion. Alan who was kicked out of Walkden High School for being to old, has since put in 20 years of hard practise to achieve this goal, as you will all know he has been a great servant to the club, having held the roll of Captain, President as well as holding the rains as Secretary for a number years. These days he lives is life a little slower, only managing to play 6 times a week, Alan readily admits his game was going nowhere until I intervened with a magic chipping lesson and converting him to the faith of Ping, since that moment his game as flourished and I am happy for him and there will be more wins for Alan in the pro's stars for 2010. Well done Alan you are one of life's few Gentleman along side myself and oh Cliff Fuller.
